What’s wrong with the mainstream theory of Evolution?
Note that I don’t question that evolution happens, and that it happens through random mutations / rearrangements of genomic segments.
I question only the part that evolution is a blind search through random mutations, exploring the fitness landscape.
Especially for early steps, when the DNA / RNA / protein synthesis machinery was established: a huge step that occured in a small time span (from oceans appearing on Earth to LUCA emerging).
Many adaptive morphologies also assume a corresponding neural and behavioural adaptation, which requires a long chain of very specific mutations, none of which are adaptive on their own.
What should be an alternative theory?
In my theory, abiogenesis / evolution occurs parallel on an infinite number of Earth-like planets (ELPs), and fails on most of them.
However, we can observe evolution only on those planets where intelligent life has developed.
This ‘anthropic selection’ replaces natural selection.
